We held our inaugural SusTEAParty in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, to mark World Environment Day and highlight the intersection of Climate and Mental Health. We used poetry as a reflective tool for the youth attendees to express themselves creatively. Through this artistic approach, participants explored eco-anxiety and shared how it affects their daily lives. Many expressed feelings of worry and uncertainty about climate change, alongside frustration with the government's insufficient commitment to effective and practical climate action and adaptation support.

Port Harcourt SusTEAParty celebrated the power of intergenerational connections as a catalyst for transformational change. The event focused on bridging the gap between generations, creating a space where elders and youth could share wisdom and practical care insights. In light of our society's shifting dynamics, the party sought to revive meaningful interactions across age groups, especially in fostering connections with the natural environment. This effort to address intergenerational gaps is crucial amid today's complex and overlapping global crises.
